Kenzie Harford is a Mattoon High School student who has enrolled in ClassE. She
already has a head start on being an entrepreneur. She has started up a business of her own
called Harford Heart and Home. She created her business with her only older sister Skyler.
They sell cute clothes online and rent out a place in the Wooden Nickel in Mattoon. They plan
on extending their market on the internet. They currently have a Facebook group but want to
create a website online and/ or an Instagram account to gain more customers. Kenzie took
ClassE “to grow a bigger network and learn how to market.” Kenzie strives to be a successful
business owner. Her previous job was working at an art studio in Mattoon. She is currently
employed at Don Sol. Kenzie’s hobbies include doing business work for her boutique, and
spending time with her dogs.

Her plans after high school are to go to Lake Land College to
pursue cosmetology and go into business. She plans to grow her boutique with her sister.
During part of her high school career she was a member of the MHS Wavette Dance Team. She
was also a member of the MHS track team. She loves to shop and spend time with her friends
when she isn’t busy with work, school, or her business. Overall, Kenzie cares for her family and
friends and always makes time for them. She strives to succeed in her boutique business with
her sister. She always looks for new ways to improve in her life in any way possible.
