Katie Clatfelter, a high school senior at Mattoon High School enrolled in ClassE with hopes to begin her journey as an entrepreneur. Katie was not sure of what she wanted to do as she started to get closer to the end of her high school career. She is involved in the Wavette Dance Team and has been a part of dance since second grade. Katie has increased interests in special effects makeup and plans to pursue a career in it throughout college. She plans to go to Lake Land College to earn her associates degree, she’s undecided in that field. After Lake Land College, she plans to go out to California for special effects makeup.

She wants to become a makeup artist for tv shows, movies and other shows in Hollywood. Katie has big dreams to pursue but still has a love for her community. “I love how we all get together as a school to make the community brighter and support each other”. Her love for the community shows through her work, she currently works at Jersey Mikes, a semi-recent attraction in town that continues to grow and make our community better. Her involvement in dance also shines through as they do a lot of community service. She enjoys making inspirational post it notes and note cards that are hung throughout the school to show school spirit. Katie Clatfelter can’t wait to pursue a business in this community and is especially excited for her individual business that she gets to create.
